Description
A hilly kingdom of gem mines and machinesmiths, Nurmonen was traditionally the home of human-dwarf relations. The Threshold of Fathers, gateway to the underground dwarven kingdom of Deephearth, opens onto the overworld not far from the capital of Nenunn. Although primarily occupied by humans, Nurmonen was the center of gnome and dwarf activity in the Hydra Kingdoms before the Plagues.
Capital: Nenunn was a mountain fortress city, set among jagged rocks in the foothills far below the Jutpeaks. It was known for being visible for miles, yet practically unassailable by conventional military means because of the long, winding, narrow paths leading to its gates.
Points of Interest: Jurdurel was home to the largest known managem mine before the Plagues.
The Duchy of Sepulteg (and its capital of the same name) is the northernmost region of Nurmonen, next to the Jutpeaks. They have frequent clashes with ogres and giants, and developed an order of rangers known as Brutecatchers to deal specifically with the threat.
